Current Jewelry Trends 2017

Some time ago, I found myself being more attracted to simplistic jewelry or just opting for nothing at all. After seeing some pieces transition from the runway to retail stores I've decided to finally step outside of my comfort zone.

As you may have seen in my previous posts, I love to stack minimal midi rings. Stacked midi rings have continued to stay on trend but the stacks have become a little more embellished. This trend has even shown itself with wedding rings; adding another ring to a preexisting set could work as great gifts for wives.

Another favorite of mine showed up and showed out all over the runway this season, hoop earrings...Massive unique hoop earrings. Although I've never been one to steer away from large earrings, I often avoid adding detail to them (it gives me basketball wives vibes).  The first pair, pictured below, is made from reclaimed guitar wire; this could be great gifts for girlfriends who are musicians or environmentally responsible.

And then there is the leaf trend, yes the leaf trend; sounds tacky but this can be worn quite tastefully. I've seen them in necklace, ring and bracelet form. If I could pick a favorite, I would have to opt for a gold plated piece of kale; it offers a somewhat comedic spin on fashion and could work as a great stocking stuffer idea (hint hint lol).

I've been interested in fringe earrings, but I haven't made the jump to wear any yet.
Have you noticed any fashion trends that have swayed you in a different direction?

 Fringe Earrings

  1. I'm obsessed with minimal midi rings as well ! The ones with stones have been catching my eye too :)

  2. Totally obsessed with tassel earrings lately. I definitely think they're staying around a few more seasons.
